Cafe - The Tavern Dreve already opened its doors in 1972 and is located at the edge of the Polygon Wood. Given its location,

De Dreve is an excellent base for a big walk in the woods. After doing a proper walk, you can enjoy a good local beer, a homemade pancake, an ice cream and so much more,

When the case arrives you will be immediately immersed in an atmosphere reminiscent of the "great war", the walls are adorned with numerous photos,

not difficult to know that Johan is passionate by the First World War. He is therefore at the root of many excavations and reconstructions of dug-outs and bunkers in the area.

 

If the workload permits or by appointment, Johan always prepares a word to explain this and possibly accompanied by images and sound via projection on large screen.

 

Groups

For groups we have special arrangements. The case has a capacity of 105 persons inside and 140 persons on the terrace.

There is ample parking space, which also provided for receiving buses.

The children can romp to their hearts' on our large playground separately.

Games
The Dreve is known for its egg petanque, which consists of several components and which, finally,

the winners received a prize from the hands of the operator.

The Past
Zonnebeke and surroundings played a major role in World War I, as fascinated as the operator is a possibility to view a report on a large screen (2 X 1.5 m)

on the tunnels and excavations in the area and accompanied by a expert interpretation of the operator itself.

Breakfast and Snacks
The Dreve and extensive menu of different snacks. Specialty is the sandwich with paté of the house or ham / cheese.

Also a possibility to take breakfast.

Combinations
It goes without saying that all packages can be combined, in consultation with the Johan.
